Philippines consists of 7,107 islands? I think so, hagbong bya kog Geography. This time we are bound for Camiguin an island volcanic by origin. It lies northeast of Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao. Land of sweetest lansones and creamy pastel (a soft bun with different fillings). We traveled from Cebu (5:30 AM departure), boarding Cebu Pacific Air Philippines and landed at the airport of Cagayan de Oro City at exactly 7:00AM. Since our target was to directly arrived at the island of Camiguin at 11:00AM, we proceeded to Cagayan de Oro’s pier, looking for the Paras Sea Cat fastcraft. We arrived at the island of Camiguin at exactly 12NN immediately commissioned a Multicab driver to tour us around the island, he introduced to us J & A restaurant where we took our lunch.
It was raining the whole day, but it never stopped us from staying behind in one place waiting for the rain to impede. All of us were eager to see the tourist spots of the island, the multicab driver even gave us a list of a-must-see spots. We were aiming to visit all the said sites in just in one day but was limited due to heavy rain. Maybe the reason why it rained the whole day was because someone was celebrating her birthday but never treated us, even buying a cake or an ice cream, in other words NONE (peace to LENZ).
Fine weather came up on the 2nd day. Sad to say, only one site was visited due to time constraint, the atoll of Camiguin they called White Island. It is a must to visit this island while you're in Camiguin. Spending 2 1/2 hours will make your day complete. Before going back to Cagayan we visited Ardent Spring for the second time. This site was one of our destination on the 1st day which we were eager to visit again. The hot spring was a place where we found relaxation and peace of mind, we were able to forget the deadlines, meetings and Cebu for a short moment heheh. Just pay Php30 (till sawa) the hot spring is all yours.
All in all visiting Camiguin was a worth while experience. We were hussled by heavy rain but still enjoyed our stay. I'll visit the place again without second thought, hopefully I'll have another luxury of time.
Sharing to your end the places we visited.
