We're supposed to have waterfalls hunting within southern part of Cebu province not realizing that most of the waterfalls that we are going to visit are all closed due to the recent Tropical Depression that hit the province.
Upon reaching Saliring bridge, Malabuyoc it turned out that the bridge is closed for it was damaged because of the recent event. We were not able to pass through going to our target destination, Samboan. Within the area there were some commotions going on, we notice a familiar scene of a house that we saw from a video shared in Facebook (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MB4jQT61low).
We took several snapshots to document what we experienced that day.
Jason Baldado, 7-year old boy who survived the onslaught of Typhoon Queenie by climbing into a coconut tree.
Further, we took some pictures of the aftermath of the storm, shown below is the Saliring River
This old tree fell down causing the bridge to collapse.
Trisikad (tok-tok) drivers waiting for passengers as the other side of the the bridge is not passable by heavy vehicles.
People have to help each other to transfer goods to the next town.
Later that day, life is back to normal for most of the people in the town.
Oh, and we managed to take some waterfall shots before going home. This is one of the most accessible falls in Cebu.
